Not an unreasonable day, although there was this light
rain. This has now turned into heavy rain. Looks like the pattern for
days to come. November here we come; dark, dreich and wet. Sunset just
after 4pm.
Was watching An Là at 8pm, and saw footage of MV Loch Seaforth conducting berthing trials at Ullapool. Impressive. Wish she could come and do the same here in Stornoway just now.
It was announced today that the Ullapool linkspan will be out of order for 6 weeks in order for it to be replaced. The ferry will only carry footpassengers to Ullapool; vehicles will be diverted to Uig in Skye, on a highly irregular timetable. More disruption.
