Today was a day with catching up, and dealing with the shampoo incident. Trying to find a shop in Stornoway that sells small, analogue, alarmclocks took me a minute or two. I should explain that this town is unusual, in that not many shops are part of large chains; there is a Boots and a Superdrug store, but that is about as far as it goes. The last shop turned up trumps, even giving a battery with the clock. It was nice to be round the familiar shops again after a couple of weeks.
The weather is cool here, with a thin but complete cover of high cloud. We reached 16C, but the wind made it feel a bit cooler than that.
