Ulster - 16 years on

Just an observation. Nothing has changed in Northern Ireland. Just the absence of bombs and bullets. If any good could ever be attributed to 9/11, it's the armistice in Ulster. For 9/11 showed American backers of the IRA what terrorism really looks like. However, the attitudes that the civil war in Northern Ireland generated will not go away anytime soon. It will require the wisdom of Solomon to sort out the pain and hurt that remains, the damage to people and mistrust between communities. It will take a very long time.
