So today was my birthday and five members of my family arrived 'unannounced'. After delivering presents, a large cake and other goodies. After preliminaries, we set off by car round the island. Via the Pentland Road to Breasclete and the Callanish Stones; then through Tolsta Chaolais to the Carloway Broch and Gearrannan, where we arrived just too late for proper lunch; via Shawbost and Barvas to the Butt of Lewis and ort of Ness, then back to town. Had dinner in one of the local restaurants. A great day!
