Today, I had a relatively uneventful journey from eastern Holland back to Stornoway. Everything went on time, the bus, the train and the two planes. I was hurried through security at Inverness Airport, leaving me at the gate in stockinged feet. Met some nice people on the plane, including a batch of Dutch deerstalkers who didn't know where the Western Isles were, as well as a kind Dutch lady who kept some self-catering houses at Northton in Harris. Thank you all for making this dreary journey more enjoyable.
