Camera woes

Getting a new digital camera is one of the things on my list. The old one is no longer working, so I was pointed to an auction on eBay. It was for a used camera of the same variety that I've been using for the past four years. I lost it in the last 7 seconds after someone put in a rather higher bid. Never mind, better a new machine than a used one that you don't know anything about. And have no warranty over either. Fortunately, I do have the use of someone else's camera, so I'm not completely stuck.

  1. Ah geesh, 7 seconds! I've had that experience as well. I agree with you though ~ better a new one with warranties in case you end up with a lemon. At least you are not without one.

  3. I know ebay can give you some good deals but I always figure you do get what you pay for so maybe it's for the best, but I'm sure it was a little frustrating at the time. Watch out for sales. This time of year some good ones can come along.

  4. I have never bought from E-bay. I have no trust in what is offered. Even though my daughter has had many a good bargain on there.
I would hate to be duped of my hard earned money. Must be my age...yes? lol!
Good luck in the Sales. I'm thinking about buying another one myself.

  5. Hi Guido, There are some good deals on cameras at comet.co.uk and currys.co.uk. Even amazon is still offering good deals. Better not to buy electronics on ebay. I had some bad experiences with modem routers! All the best. Ciao. Antonella

  6. 7 seconds?? Maybe it's for the best. I cannot imagine you without a camera! That's just not an acceptable situation, Guido!
