Saturday 24 October

What started as a bright morning has turned into a very wet afternoon. The rainfall radar shows red colours over northern Lewis, indicating very heavy rainfall. The low pressure centre is situated between Northern Ireland and the southern Hebrides and is moving northeast across Scotland. It will give us another wet day tomorrow, but a ridge of high pressure building in from Iceland should usher in a nice Monday. Yesterday's glorious weather is now but a distant memory.

Don't forget to put your clocks back tonight if you're in the UK and Europe; the USA keeps DST until next Sunday, November 2nd.

  1. I don't know why they are waiting the extra week for our change, but I'm ready. I lost that hour sleep and need it back. Truly I just wish they would leae it alone, but they say it does save us alot of energy. Its wet here today too.

  2. Sunny and 47* here this Saturday morning. But I see dark clouds over in the west. So the sun could be just a temporary tease. I wish they'd do away with DST. It's so frustrating. And here in the US, we have one state that doesn't play that game ever ~ Arizona. I have a couple clocks that are hard to get to, so they show the right time only half the year. Coming to your YV house soon...Linda in Washington
