On this day in the First World War, these three men from the Isle of Lewis lost their lives in the service of King & Country. RIP.

Killed in action in France

Sergeant JOHN MACLEOD

Last address in Lewis: 41 Callanish,
Regiment or division: Army
Date of death: 27 December 1916 at the age of 29
Lewis Memorial: East Loch Roag, Callanish
