Friday 8 August

After seeing off two folks on the ferry at lunchtime, we jumped on the bus to Arnol to visit the Blackhouse museum there. The peat was burning brightly, leaving the house wreathed in smoke. Chatted extensively to an Australian lady, who was tracing her ancestry. After seeing the White House (as opposed to the Black House), we headed off into the moor to view Loch na Muilne (Mill Loch), then crossed over to the cliffs for some spectacular scenery. It really started to belt down as we headed back into Arnol.

In the evening, Tattoo Hebrides started in the Castle Grounds. Didn't attend the event, but could hear some of it from the Inner Harbour. The fireworks were visible and audible all over Stornoway!
