Today, our new ferry started berthing trials. First of all bow first, after 11 am, stern-first. After lunch, she left for a trip across the Minch to Ullapool. Loch Seaforth is due to shadow the current ferries, Isle of Lewis and Clipper Ranger, before entering service at the end of the month.
After watching Loch Seaforth gingerly moving around the pier, I headed for a short stroll along North and South Beach.

Our new ferry, MV Loch Seaforth, arrived in Stornoway to take up her duties in the next few weeks. Today, she remained tied up at Arnish, but later this week, she is due to start berthing trials once the work on the extended jetty is complete.
