Went out for lunch with a handful of people, two of whom are Facebook contacts, dating back to the era of Island Blogging (now defunct), and two of their friends. Lunch was had at the Woodlands Centre in the Castle Grounds, and a nice hour's chat was enjoyed by all.  I was sad to find that the little footpath between the Woodlands and the Castle was destroyed
by the winter's storms, see the second pic below. The bridge across the burn is wrecked, and the path completely blocked by fallen trees.
