This morning, we were greeted with the magnificent sight of the Russian tallship Mir (peace) on the near side of the ferry pier. The vessel was open for the public, so I went on board and had a walk round its decks. I am posting some pictures of that visit below.
I popped along as well - really nice looking ship well worth a visit. (The RNLI are having an open day on the Tom Sanderson as well in case you're interested).
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tony, but I visited the Tom Sanderson in July 2005. And it's just turned wet, so I'm staying put in the warm :-)
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! NICE PICS of a MAGNIFICENT looking ship!!
ReplyDeleteSo many ropes to raise the sails or lower them! Amazing! As is the size of the ship!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Guido.
