I have been requested to remove image verification from the comments page, which has been done. Should I start to receive (large amounts of) comments spam, it will be reinstated.
You can choose whether or not to publish comments, removing word verfication just saves time, as sometimes you have to enter the letters multiple times.
Guido, I took mine off on day one and have had no spam. It just saves a lot of time. Also the letters are sometimes difficult to see and on occasion I have had to try and post a comment four times because I have got the letters wrong. Lots are now taking it off to make it easier for people.
A spammer could still get through if you leave it on. All they have to do is copy the letters.
I once had a bad experience with spam mail so will leave mine on. I did get 2 journals transferred so I'm feeling much better about the move. I do hope everyone eventually makes it over. 'On Ya'- ma

I haven`t had any spam Guido despite removing the word verification. I found that even if I typed the word corractly it still wasn`t accepted.

I removed mine too. I guess if I have any problems I'll put it back on. I know it's hard for some people to read the letters.
