You must have taken these ...I do love those sheep. You must have taken these in your walk. Now I feel once again I have been in Scotland today. Home of some of my ancestors and some of Pierre's, my previous companion from Montreal. His mother was from the big McKenzie clan originally from Scotland. We did live in sheep country over the mountain but my grandfather whose father came from Scotland raised cattle. We would get a dogey lamb when the sheep herds came through on the way to their summer range high on the mountain.Gerryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00771917880182186281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5110392363965889177.post-61399018503064980982010-03-03T22:07:04.161+00:002010-03-03T22:07:04.161+00:00Very interesting pictures. I see the sheep have been checked already to see if they are having their lambs.
Shetland and Orkney sheep are a much smaller breed of sheep to the Herdwicks here in the lakes. Like the Herdwicks though, they are bred to take the rough winter hardships.
I enjoyed my visit. Thank you.
JeanieJeaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07120751027760312414noreply@blogger.com
